Digestion of foods begins in the stomach and continues in the small intestines, and it requires a variety of enzymes and other compounds. Supplemental digestive compounds can help the body breakdown our food releasing more nutrition form each bite we take. In order to provide optimal support different digestive factors need to be supplied to the stomach and small intestine. Panplex 2-Phase supports both sites of digestion. Phase 1 contains betaine HCl and pepsin that is released at the stomach to support digestion there. Phase 2 provides pancreatic enzymes and bile salts that are contained in a delayed release matrix that prevents degradation in the stomach, allowing them to be released in the small intestine.
