Product Description
Neurobiologix Gut Histamine Blocker (formerly GI Hist Support) designed to assist patients who have trouble processing external sources of histamine rich foods and nutritional elements. This formula is especially helpful for those with genetic weaknesses in A01C (Diamine Oxidase), the main enzyme responsible for the degradation of ingested histamine. Histamine excess may cause numerous symptoms mimicking an allergic reaction. Common symptoms of histamine intolerance include: Headaches, skin irritation, dizziness, accelerated heart rate, difficulty regulating body temperature, nervousness, nausea and/or abdominal cramps, flushing or redness of the face/skin, nasal congestion, sneezing, and difficulty breathing. DOES NOT MANAGE OR ADDRESS ANTIBODY RELATED FOOD ALLERGIES. The active ingredient in G.I. Hist Support is porcine-derived diamine oxidase, and research suggests that DAO derived from porcine kidney appears to have identical action to DAO derived from porcine intestine. Histamine is not only produced in the body but is also present in many fermented foods, such as sauerkraut, sausage, cheese, yogurt, and alcoholic beverages. Tuna, olives, spinach, eggplant, avocados, tomatoes, cherries, and citrus fruits are other histamine-containing foods which may cause GI irritation or histamine related reactions.
Recommended Use: Adults take one to two capsules no more than 15 minutes before the consumption of histamine-rich foods. Children take one capsule no more than 15 minutes before the consumption of histamine-rich foods or take as directed by a healthcare professional. As a daily maintenance support product, take 2 capsules in AM and 2 capsules in PM. Keep in a cool dry area.
